WHAT our STUDENTS ARE SAYING

During the pandemic, I decided at a late age to try to learn the guitar. Luckily, I happened to find a local place from which to give it a try. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Justin at 29th Century Guitar. His combination of knowledge and patience Is incredible.

-Gary R.
My son has been working with Justin for about a year and I’ve seen a huge improvement in his guitar skills. He looks forward to his weekly lessons and loves his personalized approach. Justin has not only taught my son how to play the songs he wants to play, but is also focusing on theory and improvising. Justin is extremely professional, very organized and works well with all age groups. He clearly loves what he does and we would recommend him to all of my friends!

-Robin
I have a full-time job and two kids, wanted to do something for myself so I signed up for guitar lessons - with ZERO knowledge base. Going on a year now, and Justin has been an incredibly patient and efficient teacher, causing me to improve as much as I can with my limited schedule.

— Kathryn U.

“Justin is an extremely talented musician and teacher, and has the right balance of knowledge, patience and humor to make lessons both educational and entertaining. I would highly recommend Justin to anyone who is serious about learning music and how to play the guitar - including anyone interested in furthering their current abilities.

— Hope D. (Research Pharmacist)
Justin knows how to keep things fresh and interesting while making sure I’ve got the basics down, and his enthusiasm is infectious. He’s worked with me to identify my goals and tailor my lessons toward meeting them.

— Bobby Seng (Software Engineer)
Justin has introduced my son to a variety of music genres and encouraged him to further explore his own musical tastes. Most importantly, he has instilled of love of playing and learning. Lack of self confidence used to keep him from playing in front of people, now he is not often without the guitar in his hands and is proud to show off his skills. HIGHLY recommend!!

— Cari B.
I started meeting with Justin at his studio in mid-February and those sessions were great. He quickly identified areas where I could improve my playing. A few weeks later we had to move to online only classes and they have been a joy. He’s patient, with an ear that can hear technique issues even over FaceTime.

— Brian K.
He is the quintessential music professional - completely grounded in prestigious, formal education, and demonstrates his ongoing passion for everything guitar. Justin takes his time, keeps me progressing at my pace, shows incredible patience, and genuinely wants his students to enjoy building their guitar skills. While he focuses me on learning to read music and play guitar, I appreciate his interest in talking about the kind of music and performers I like.

— John Seng (President, Spectrum/ Chair, GlobalHealthPR)
He has a great approach to teaching that is personalized to every student. He had my son choose some goals to work towards and they continue to update those (since a 9 year old never knows what he wants for more than 5 minutes!).

— Tracy O.
After having taken lessons at a local music store, I was hesitant to start lessons again, but I am so glad I did. I no longer feel like I am being rushed out the door or given a “cookie cutter” approach to learning to play the guitar. The lessons keep me challenged and I’m so pleased to be playing music I didn’t think I would be able to learn. I highly recommend Justin to guitar players of all levels!

— Donna (Speech Pathologist)
I like that he allows me to explore the music that I am interested in. He also gives me tips that help me improve my skills so that the song sounds more musical and cool

— Domenico M.
Once I started taking lessons with him I discovered that he’s not just an awesome guitar player but he really knows how to break down the theory part of guitar that most guitar teachers can’t or don’t do well. And the technical stuff has vastly improved my guitar skills! His teaching style is very disciplined with an easy going personality.

— Grace N. (Childcare Professional)
